Stupid IP Address

Me: Greetings,

ForVendor account 465807, we have a new static IP address for our office: 172.16.10.101.

Please register this so that we can perform online orders via Quotewerks form this IP.

Thank you,
Me

Vendor1:Me,

What IP will Quotewerks be connecting from? (requestor IP)

Let us know so we can route to proper department/team.

Thank you

Me: Hi Vendor1,

That would be the IP of 172.16.10.101 that I stated in my email.
Thanks,
Me

Vendor1: Thanx Me,

YourCompany will send only PO submit requests through Quoteworks?

Vendor1

Me: Hi Vendor1,

If you mean to ask if Quotewerks is the only app we are using for web services, this is correct. However, we still may email a PO to our account rep, or place an order via the website from time to time.

Thanks,

Me

Vendor1: From Remote Order Entry (non Vendor application method), external to Vendor network was my reference.

Its no problem, just wanted to confirm.

Vendor1

Vendor1: Sorry one more question

Is this IP dedicated to your company from Quotewerks?

Our security team might perform a check whether its used by quotewerks for other customers, not sure what expectation I should set.

Vendor1

Me: Hi Vendor1,

Please forget I ever mentioned Quotewerks – I thought this would help, but it seems to only complicate the matter. I just need the IP address I gave registered, in addition to the others we have registered on file, so that we can do web services requests from it.
Thanks,
Me

Vendor2: Hi Me,

Is this IP replacing or addition to the following:

MyCompany (123456) (2) 192.168.1.0
MyCompany (123456) (1) 10.0.0.0

Sincerely,
